Jane Fallon, the acclaimed best-selling novelist, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The diagnosis was made on March 12, 2026, following a routine mammogram conducted late last year, which revealed the cancer at a very early stage.
At 65 years old, Fallon expressed gratitude for the early detection, stating, “About a month ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer – very early stage thankfully & the prognosis is excellent.” She emphasized that despite having no symptoms, a diligent radiographer noticed something unusual and recommended further tests.
Fallon is set to undergo surgery later this month, with her procedure scheduled for the week after next. “It’s been a lot, I’m not going to lie. But, my surgery is scheduled for the week after next and I just want to get it over with now,” she shared.
