LEGO Tintin Moon Rocket Set to Launch in 2026
The LEGO Ideas Tintin Moon Rocket is set to be released on April 1, 2026, featuring a total of 1,283 pieces and priced at $159.99. This highly anticipated set celebrates the iconic Tintin comic books, particularly the stories “Destination Moon” and “Explorers on the Moon.”
Designed by fan creator Alexis Dos Santos, the set includes six minifigures: Tintin, Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus, Thomson, Thompson, and Snowy. The rocket itself showcases a distinctive red-and-white chequered design and stands at 49 cm tall.
The LEGO Group, founded in 1932 in Billund, Denmark, has a long history of creating imaginative play experiences. The Tintin Moon Rocket set was born from the LEGO Ideas program, where Dos Santos’s design submission garnered over 10,000 votes for approval by the LEGO Ideas Review Board.
One of the standout features of the rocket is a hidden control room, allowing builders to recreate the moment when Tintin and his crew first glimpsed Earth from space. This interactive element is expected to enhance the building experience for adult fans aged 18 and older.
Pre-orders for the set are currently available through LEGO.com and LEGO Stores, indicating strong interest among collectors and fans alike. “Creating the Tintin Moon Rocket has been an incredible journey,” said Dos Santos, reflecting on the development process.
He added, “I hope the build sparks the same sense of imagination and adventure that inspired me from the very beginning.” As the release date approaches, enthusiasts are eager to see how this set will be received in the market.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding additional promotional events or exclusive offers related to the launch. However, the excitement surrounding the LEGO Tintin Moon Rocket continues to build as fans prepare for its arrival in 2026.
