Born in Sao Mateus, Brazil, Sávio began his youth career at Atletico Mineiro, making his professional debut in August 2020 at the age of 16. After making 35 senior appearances and scoring two goals for Atletico Mineiro, Sávio moved to France to sign with Troyes. He then went on loan to PSV Eindhoven in the 2022/23 season. A subsequent loan spell with Girona the following year marked a breakthrough season for the young attacker.
During his time at Girona, Sávio completed 104 dribbles, which was 18 more than any other player in La Liga.
