Turkish Airlines has announced a profit of US$2.2 billion from its main operations for the year 2025. This significant financial achievement comes amidst a challenging operational landscape, characterized by various external factors.

The airline’s total revenues for 2025 surpassed US$24 billion, reflecting a robust performance. Turkish Airlines also expanded its fleet by 5%, bringing the total number of aircraft to 516.

In terms of operational results, the airline achieved a record of 92.6 million passengers and transported 2.2 million tonnes of cargo. Passenger revenues rose by 7.4% to reach US$19.8 billion, while cargo revenue stood at US$3.4 billion, despite a 3% drop for the full year.

Turkish Airlines’ EBITDAR margin reached 23.7%, exceeding its long-term target. Looking ahead, the airline anticipates its EBITDAR margin for 2026 to remain within the 22–24% range.

Prof. Ahmet Bolat, the airline’s executive, commented on the results, stating, “Despite an exceptionally challenging and unpredictable operating environment, the financial success we achieved in 2025 once again showed our ability to adapt to rapidly changing commercial and geopolitical conditions.”

However, the airline faced challenges in 2025 due to aircraft delivery delays, capacity constraints from grounded aircraft, and regional conflicts, which impacted its operations.
